Size and Fit Guide
JanJay Fashions carries multiple brands, so sizing and fit vary by item. Please review each product’s listed size, available measurements, and fit notes before purchasing.
Choosing Your Size
Compare the brand’s size chart, when provided, with your body measurements. For resale pieces, compare garment measurements with a similar item you own that fits comfortably.
A size label alone does not guarantee fit. Fabric stretch, cut, and previous alterations can affect how an item wears.
How to Measure Your Body
- Bust/chest: Measure around the fullest part, keeping the tape level.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waist without pulling the tape tight.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch to your preferred hem length.
Understanding Garment Measurements
Measurements taken with an item lying flat are different from body measurements. For example, a flat underarm-to-underarm measurement is the width across the garment, not its full circumference.
Check whether measurements are listed in inches or centimeters and whether they describe the garment or your body.

One-Size Items
“One size” does not mean an item fits everyone. Review available measurements and fit information.
